Prompts are up, and the Gen Battle has started!
I've written one short fic for it, and I'd like to do more; in particular, Crossover (Princess Tutu/Yankee-kun to Megane-chan) just begs to be written, though I don't know that I'll be able to pull it off. (Gen Battle not an anime-only challenge, btw; in fact, most of the prompts are for Western fandoms.)
Anyway, here the fic that I wrote, which still doesn't have a title. It's rated G.

Urk, has it really been a year since I've posted in this journal? :/ Anyway, a few things:
1) If you're an American, GO VOTE TOMORROW, if you haven't already.
2) Forgot to crosspost it to LJ, but I finished my fic Yo Ho a little while back; you can read the last chapter, "A New Picture Book", at FFN. Dunno if I'm all that happy with it, but at least it's over.
3) I'm doing Yuletide this year! \o/

4) I keep thinking I should start writing manga reviews for stuff that I like, especially the more obscure stuff. But I don't think I'm very good at articulating that kind of thing; there are a few exceptions, but generally my reactions to manga can be fully summed up in emoticons. I guess I could just do a lot of picspam...mood:  hopeful |

I wrote a short vignette, and I'm vacillating over thinking that it's all kinds of awesome and thinking that it's all kinds of crap. Of course, for me that's about par for the course. Somehow it seems like I can't write anything long unless it's for a challenge :\. But enough passive-aggressive whining.

It took an incredibly long time for me to get around to it, but I finally revised Slave Magic. It's funny -- while I'm writing something, I think it's just about the best thing ever. Then about twelve hours after I post it I decide that it's the suckiest pile of suck that ever sucked, and it takes me a few weeks to get to the point where I can look at it again. Plus the end of the semester hit, so I didn't have time for much more than studying and trying vaguely to keep up with my flist. I do read it, but I feel bad because I rarely have anything to add.
Anyway, for the future I may or may not finish pulling together a rambly fic about Grindelwald. I'd also like to do one about Hagrid, but the dialect is making me leery. In reccing, I have sorted all of the new fics from November into their respective character pages. Regulus is no longer underrepresented! I'm working on cataloguing new recs, but they won't be up until Monday at the very earliest.
